Events
The war cemetery in Lesko has long attracted the attention of private individuals, institutions, as well as representatives of various nations and faiths. It is a place of remembrance, reflection, and transnational reconciliation. In this section, we document significant visits, ceremonies, and acts of remembrance — expressions of respect towards the soldiers resting in this historic site.
Hungarian Delegation
On September 9, 2004, the war cemetery in Lesko was visited by an official delegation from Hungary. The guests paid tribute to the fallen soldiers of the Austro-Hungarian army by laying a wreath at one of the mass graves. This visit was a symbolic expression of remembrance, gratitude, and respect for their shared history and the sacrifices of World War I.
